Robert L. Smith, CLU, ChFC, CFP®

Professional Background

Bob Smith has been a resident of Florida since 1968 and attended the University of Florida. He then spent twelve years with a Fortune 500 company. In 1991, Bob entered the financial services industry and later became a training manager for a large local agency. In 1999, he left his training position to concentrate full-time on building his own practice. He received his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1999, his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 2000, and his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) Professional designation in 2000. Bob’s expertise covers many financial areas. He especially enjoys working with his clients demonstrating financial economics. Bob is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Financial Planning Association, Society of Financial Services Professionals, and Tampa Bay Estate Planning Council.

Personal

Bob is married to Cindy and has three children: Rhiannon, Janessa, and Christiana. He is active in his church and enjoys spending time with his family. Bob is an active runner, cyclist, and swimmer, who has competed internationally in triathlons. Bob twice qualified for and participated in the Iron Man World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. He has also run in several marathons, including the Boston Marathon. Other interests include traveling and snow skiing.
